Hutch Irvin is ONE!

This is a few weeks late but seeing that we have only been in our new house a couple of weeks and just got our internet going, I think I can still blog about our little man's birthday party.

First off I need to show off his way cute invitations! I found a template on Etsy and just plugged in some pictures I had taken and had them printed! I loved them! The card was a trifold and the colors were perfect for the theme of his party!

We had a blast! I had been planning so long for this party and it felt just like mine and Shawn's wedding day. We planned so long for it, had fun things to do for the kids, fun decorations and then it's over...just like that. My baby is one.

We only had a handful of kiddos join us at the party. Luckily Shawn and I bought Hutchy a water table to set up at the party to keep the kids occupied and it was a hit!

The weather couldn't have been any more perfect. We were able to set up tables outside in Shawn's parents backyard and just enjoy each other and visiting.  We had hot dogs and ham burgers followed by cupcakes that my sweet mom and sister helped me make.

He got so many fun toys that we haven't even opened all of them yet! We don't want him to get bored with them so we are taking it slow.

His favorite toy has to be his wagon from Mommy and Daddy :) He loves to ride in it!

Once we put him in front of his cake and let him go...he was in love! The boy just kept digging in and eating! It was precious. We finally stopped him so he wouldn't get sick.

We had so much fun and are so thankful for all of those who were involved in celebrating with us. There was such a great turn out that I feel like I didn't get to visit with half of the people!

Hutch Irvin, I don't think daddy and I could ever adequately express how much we love you. You bring us so much joy and we thank God each night for you. Our prayer for you is that you will know the love God has for you as well as His amazing plan for your life. Your first year of life was so much fun. Watching you grow and learn new things made us laugh all the time. So far, your second year of life is turning out to be just the same. You are going to be an amazing big brother. We love you sweet boy.

Love,
Daddy and Mommy

Here we go again...

This update is long over due! Things have been crazy around here lately and I haven't had time to even think about internet stuff. I don't even think I have mentioned on here that my sweet husband got promoted and of course that means we are moving!
Again...
Those of you who know us might recall that when we found out we were pregnant with Hutch we also found out that Shawn got promoted...which led us to Shamrock. A lot has happened since this last move. Not only are we parents to an amazing little boy but we are going about things with this move much differently.
When we moved to Shamrock we searched and searched and searched a little more for houses. We found one in Mclean, TX...UGH...put an offer on it and luckily everything fell through. We realized soon after that we were trying to rush things and do things on our time and schedule. Little did we know that God had the perfect house on Wall St. prepared for us. After we moved in, relaxed a little bit, had our little Hutch and continued to let God do His work we learned to love little Shamrock.
Many offices soon became available for Shawn to apply for..so we did. They were all over the place (Levelland, Bandera, Gainesville, Brownfield and a few others). At first we thought..."How do we know that this is where God wants us?" We came to the conclusion that if we got the location then that is where we were supposed to be. After many applications and months later we applied for Seminole and got it instantly. Not only were we thrilled because we know that God has a great plan for our lives there but it's so close to home!!
Last week we went to Lubbock and spent a few days in Seminole looking for houses. This time around we didn't rush nor did we jump on the first house we saw.  One thing we learned about Seminole is that the people there really do care about their town. All of the houses we looked at were in wonderful condition and had very little to be done. We found a house that we LOVE...to be honest the inside is precious but the yard is what sold us. It's about the same size as our yard here in Shamrock and it's a blank slate. Shawn is a big yard person and is so excited to get going on it. Everything on the inside is new and updated all we really have to do is new carpet in the bedrooms and paint! Whew.
After a few back and forth negotiations we finally settled on a price with the sellers and are under contract! We had the home inspections done yesterday and were told that for a house in that age range it is one of the best kept houses that the inspector has seen in a long time. That made us feel great and just confirmed that this is the house that God has been preparing for us.
We have loved this moving experience much more than the last. Our realtor is a wonderful Christian woman and has been nothing but helpful. She's also a member of the Methodist church in Seminole...at least we will know one person when we go. We've also been praying about our church home there in Seminole. Our little Methodist church here has been nothing but amazing. The day we signed the contract our realtor asked us if we would like to join their church's summer softball team!! We were thrilled. We aren't even members yet and they are already welcoming us with open arms.
Again...God has a great plan for this move.
Stay tuned for pictures of our new house, Hutch updates and sweet little baby updates!

10 Months old and 7 weeks along

Our little man is 10 months old!
He is so much fun and is constantly making us laugh.
Huch is doing the following now days:
Eats like a champ! Pretty much anything we give him he will eat...with the exception of avocado.
He is now on formula and seems to like it
He can sign "more" and "milk"
He copies the sounds that we make
He says "mama" and officially "dada" FINALLY
He is all over the place!
He gets into the things we don't want him to and avoids the things we do want him to play with.
He grinds his teeth...and it kills me. I don't know if all babies do this but I wish he wouldn't.
He is working on 8 teeth! Four up top and two on bottom. The other two are breaking skin on bottom.
He LOVES kitchen drawers and cabinets and thinks everything in them is for him.
He loves Hattie. She loves him.
He can stand up by himself without holding anything for a few seconds!
He throws little fits if I take something away from him that he wants but shouldn't have.
He still has two ear infections that refuse to go away. We are on our third round of antibiotics and have an appointment with an ENT in Amarillo this week. We are praying for no tubes and better ears!
He loves Sugarland's song "Stuck Like Glue". If it is on he will stop everything to watch the video or listen to it...here is the evidence.

We are having so much fun with our little man and can't wait for him to be a big brother. He LOVES other babies and kids so we know he will be great :)

Now for an update on our new little love.
I think it's a girl and here is why:
Things are different this time around.
No headaches, morning sickness (well, VERY little) and Shawn had a dream it was a girl. So OF COURSE his dream is right haha.
I just feel different this time. I can't really explain it.
We had our first sonogram and were expecting to see a little gummie bear but only saw a little "thing" with a circle...which meant we weren't as far along as we thought. At the time I should have been showing 7 weeks along but was only measuring to be 6 weeks along. Each Monday is when I move on to the next week. So today I am 7 weeks along.  So that means our due date is set for October 16th. We didn't get to hear the heartbeat but could see it going strong. Something about seeing it helps me realize that we are having another baby. Shawn and I both agreed that next to Hutch that was the best looking baby we have ever seen :) Here are some more pictures of our sweet 10 month old!

First Haircut

Hutch Irvin got his first haircut!!
It was much needed too. Our sweet friend Ashley (Aunt Ashley to Hutch) squeezed him in while we were in Lubbock and did a great job.
She made my baby look like a big boy....I don't know if I'm ready for that.

One more thing...

I forgot to mention how wonderful my sweet husband is. He got me a beautiful necklace from Stella & Dot. If you have not heard of Stella & Dot your life is not complete (jk). I love love love it and was so impressed with the quality of it! I've gotten more compliments on it! Click the link below to go to my friend Natalie's page (she sells it) and check out all the  wonderful jewelry they have! Ladies...go fall in love!

Happy Valentine's Day

I think this blog should really be called "Here we go again" but keep reading and you'll see why I didn't title it that.
I'm sure most of you don't want to read a long blog that just rambles and never gets to what you are wanting to know so I'll just say it and you can choose to keep reading haha.

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!

When did find out?? On Valentine's Day...it was the best Valentines day that we have had! We got to celebrate our love, having our sweet little Hutch AND having another little love. We are so thrilled to announce this fun news and can't wait to share more with you.

We don't know much right now other than...I'm pregnant. We went to the doctor today hoping for a sonogram but didn't get that. I just got pricked with a needle and had some blood taken (I'm used to this by now). We do have a sono scheduled for next week so we will have more details then.

I know you're probably thinking "already??" but if you know us then you know that this is not very surprising. We want a large family and want our children to be close in age. So by the time this sweet baby joins us Hutch will be about one and a half years old. Pretty good age gap in our eyes.

Now, last time we found out we were pregnant we also found out we were moving...
Stay tuned, you never know what God has in store for our little family.

Here are some pictures of our very fun Valentine's Day.

Bathtime

I almost forgot these! Doesn't just about everyone have a bath time picture with their cousins?? Here are Hutch's and Brenden's :) Sweet boys.

9 Months

9 months old! That means that in 3 very short months our little baby will be 1!!! He has his very first ear infection as we speak and it breaks my heart. I had to get him out in the horribly cold weather yesterday to go to the doctor. As much as I hate him feeling bad...I LOVE all the sweet cuddly moments I have gotten from him. I can tell his ear is hurting him a lot during the day and so all he wants is to be held or be sitting right next to me. He has woken up a couple of mornings around 4 but will go back to sleep after about an hour of rocking until 9 or 10. I sure am ready for him to get over this thing.

Since we had to drive an hour to see his doctor I figured I might as well have them take all his measurements for fun. I didn't get all of them but our little man is still a tall string bean. He is 18.7 lbs and 30 inches long!

At 9 months our boy is:
Crawling, crawling and more crawling
He pulls up on everything and slooooowly takes himself back to the ground *pretty cute*
He just started throwing things that we hand him. Example: we were sitting at the computer and I gave him a marker that I always let him hold on to only to have him lean over and drop it on the floor. So, I picked it up, gave it back to him....and he proceeded to lean over to drop it not just once, twice, or three times but multiple times. After that it became everything I gave him.
He still only says "mama"
When he wants attention he will ever so slightly bump his head on something and start crying...I've seen it. :)
The dogs are getting so good with him. Hattie still lets him crawl/pull/love on her, Lola is much better with him, and well Wes is getting there.
He still knows where the dog's water bowl is...and loves it.
He is able to put his basketballs in the hoop of his little toy.
He loves to take blocks out of a bucket and put them back in.
When he makes one of his toys play a song or make a noise he looks around with the biggest smile on his sweet face to see who else hears it.
He is interested in a book until I read the first page...then he's done.
He has 6 sweet little teeth.
He is still on my milk but eats just about anything we give him. Correction...he will try anything we give him. If he doesn't like it he refuses to eat it. I'm still trying to find different big boy meals that he can eat. Any advice is welcomed.
He loves yogurt, just about all fruit, butternut squash when he is in the mood, sweet potatoes, chicken spaghetti, any kind of rice and much more
He pretty much refuses to eat any pureed food..he likes to chew.
I made him homemade chicken noodle soup when he started to get sick but he refused to eat it...so Shawn and I did.
Hmm...I think that's it. Here is our little basketball player!

Family weekend

My mom, sister and Brenden visited this past weekend and we had so much fun! The weather was perfect when they got here on Friday so we went to the park to play. Of course, I had my camera in hand (which I believe I fixed...for now anyways.. YAY). Brenden and Uncle Shawn had lots of fun going down the slides and running all over the place.

Shawn got "B"(Brenden) to believe that there were alligators living in one of our closets...B wouldn't drop it after that. He kept telling my sister that if she wasn't careful the alligators were going to bite her in the "bobo". It was pretty cute.

We went to the Wheeler County stock show Saturday morning and saw the pig show. It was pretty neat. I haven't been to a pig show since high school when Shawn showed and am convinced that our children will be doing some sort of showing when they reach the right age. I didn't think I would like it but I caught myself really getting into it.

After that we just hung out at the house...it started to get pretty cool outside so we didn't have much to do. So, I showed my sister how to do some things in photoshop and here's what we got...

I love B's smile...
